Those who believe in Jesus Christ, the son of God, God incarnate, who gave his life on a cross, was buried in a borrowed tomb, lay dead for three days, was brought back to life again and lives today seated at the right hand of God, have HOPE.

They have HOPE in spending time with God in a place prepared by Jesus.

They have HOPE in life, life after death, life eternal. An active and exciting adventurous life for all eternity!

They have HOPE that one day the sadness, suffering, pain, and heartache of this life will be over and they will spend eternity where there will be no pain, no suffering, no heartaches, and no goodbyes.

In Ephesians chapter 2:11 the Apostle Paul writes
“Remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no
hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”

The unsaved sinner is “without hope” and if he dies without Christ, he will be hopeless forever.  Likewise those who trust in works to save them are like the Jews who had "set (their) hope" on Moses (keeping the "The Law" ~ good works) (John 5:45)

The  Italian poet, Dante, in Divine Comedy, penned this inscription over the world of the dead...

“Abandon all hope, you who enter here!”

One might paraphrase Dante's dismal declaration...

Life without Christ is a hopeless end but life in Christ is an endless hope.

This week make it a priority to share the Hope you have in Christ with a friend, neighbour or relative.
