WELCOME TO PINETREE HOUSE, THE HOME OF THE CHURCH OF GOD, ELGIN; ELGIN COMMUNITY CHURCH

Bishop Dennis Tanner, National Overseer, has now taken over as Interim Pastor of Elgin Community Church.

Dennis writes to introduce himself and his wife, Vanna.......

Vanna and I count it a blessing and privilege to serve as the Interim Pastors of the Elgin Community Church of God.  We are both from the US, Vanna from Missouri and me from Michigan.

I am an Ordained Bishop with the Church of God Scotland/USA and have a Masters Degree in Cross Cultural Communications from the Assemblies of God Seminary. I have served as pastor and missionary for over 30 years in both the Assemblies of God and the Church of God.

We see God’s divine hand and sovereignty in us being asked to serve as Pastors in Elgin. It was not what we planned but “God ways are above our ways”! It is an exciting time for the Church and we look forward to this season of ministry with excitement, joy, and expectation!

Previous pastors and leaders established a good foundation of ministry.  We will build on that foundation by continuing to edify and exhort one another to grow and mature in the knowledge of the Lord and by reaching out to the lost and hurting in Elgin, Moray, and Scotland with love, compassion and a message of hope for eternal life with God through Jesus His Son.

Pinetree House is located in the Pinefield Estate, just off the A96 Inverness - Aberdeen trunk road,on the east side of Elgin in the north east of Scotland.

The church building is a former small hotel built in the early 1970s and the Church of God Elgin moved into this building in the summer of 2001.

The Church of God Elgin is part of the Church of God that has it’s International Headquarters in Cleveland, Tennessee, USA.

We are a pentecostal, evangelical, Christian fellowship and we extend a warm welcome to you. We pray that you will be blessed by your visit.
